The Dutch association for heart - and vasculair nursing has been set up in 1996. The association has arisen from the nursing advisory body of the Dutch heart foundation.

General members meeting (ALV)

THE ALV take place minimum 1 time per year. On the ALV policy and activities of the association are stocked for approval to the members presented.

Work area:

Heart - and vasculaire nurse in the Netherlands can be on several nivo's and in several areas operative:

• intramuraal, extramurally or transmuraal
• on micronivo in the implementation of the care
• on mesonivo in the management and policy development of a health care institution
• on macronivo in the social and political strength field

The area for special attention of the NVHVV concerns preventive -, curative - and palliatory nursing care for patient with cardio -, cerebro - and/or peripheral vasculair disease.

THE NVHVV stand for professional nurse care for patient with heart-en vasculaire didease, she wants what reach by means of professionalisation activities for hart-en vasculaire nursing.

THE NVHVV make a contribution to the professionalisation process of the heart - and vasculaire nursing to optimise the quality of the care attribution.

THE NVHVV are the professional association for the heart - and vasculaire nurse and as such position themselves they as a representative of the Dutch heart - and vasculaire nursing.

Professional development

THE NVHVV want provide to the improvement of the quality of nurse care attribution to a contribution to the patient with a heart - and/or vasculaire disease, by means of:

• professional profession booklet: Cordiaal/5 x per year
• congress 2 times a year
• participation to venticare congress with an own programme.
• activities from the working parties

Provision of information

THE NVHVV want preserve contact with its members. This does they by means of:

• Minimum a 2 x per year member meeting
• 2 Pages association news in each Cordiaal expenditure
• Offer of a Internet site

Rural network

THE NVHVV want keep informed of and dovetail the developments which (be possible) to be important for the heart - and blood-vessel. This tries reach they by:

• Cooperation with the Dutch heart foundation
• Activities from the working parties, such as network days
• A contribution provide within the AVVV fracties and commissions
• Connection professional associations to search at other relevant nursing
• To cooperate with the LEVV
